Buying An Aircraft
Almost everyone starts pilot training utilising the school trike. As soon as you commit to complete the course, you should be looking to purchase your own aircraft. It will lower the overall cost of training dramatically. It also gives you the chance to become familiar with your own trike and understand its handling characteristics while flying under supervision of a qualified instructor. There are no Trike Hire places. Thus if you want to enjoy flying after you obtain your licence, you should own your own aircraft.

Airborne SST 912
We not only train students in weight shift aircraft, we use them for our own recreational flying.
Once you have established what type of flying you want to be involved in, we can help you chose the trike best suited to your needs. Whether you want to cover large cross country distances in the XT 912 Streak 3, or go paddock bashing and beach fishing in the XT 912 Merlin / Tundra option. Various trike bases can be mated with different wings so as to allow the manufacturer to tailor an aircraft to match your operational requirements.
We are the preferred dealer for Airborne Windsports P/L, the manufacturer and worldwide exporter of fully certified Australian Trikes. Please ask us for a brochure and price list. We are happy to advise you with the best configuration for you, and we are able to assist with the ordering process. You don’t pay more by ordering through us… You pay less!

Airborne XT-912 SST
Generally we have good, second hand trikes available, with either two-stroke or four-stroke engines, and can steer you in the direction of a good outcome for your requirements. We only sell second hand trikes that we would be happy to fly in, and to train students in! Be aware that not all second hand trikes meet those criteria.
