XT-912 Panniers.
After conducting extensive testing the new XT-912 panniers are ready for sale. These Panniers will retail for $350.00 a pair. 
I have tested the panniers in no wind and also in winds up to 25kts, and its all good. The first tests were with the panniers empty, and I found that they inflated. This was no problem at all. The next flights were with the panniers loaded to the max and still no problem. I then started flight testing from the rear seat. A student would fly and I was able to get charts in and out of the panniers without any worry of the charts blowing away.

Minor adjustments were made to the panniers to make them more user friendly. The only issues are the that choke lever is a little harder to get to, and you must make sure that the panniers are fitted properly so they do not cover the cut off switches. The panniers do cover the fuel tank, so you must take a little more care with checking your fuel quantity. As far as the operating temperatures were concerned I found no major difference. The oil temps were normal and the CHT were up by about 3 to 8 degrees over all phases of flight. Flight testing also took place with the underneath bag fitted as well. Once again I didn’t notice any adverse effects at all. Each test flight was completed in a controled state, and photographs were taken on the instrument pannel to prove the temps were within the operational range.
