Introductory Flights
Enjoy spectacular aerial views around Yarrawonga and Lake Mulwala, in an open cockpit Airborne XT-912 SST aircraft. When you arrive at YFT, make your way through the courtyard to the Pilot’s Shop and relax, have a drink from our well stocked bar, or make your way to the top of our viewing deck so you can see all the action on the Aerodrome.
The Beast
BRIEFING
After a light briefing on the aircraft’s controls and other relevant equipment, we take off and climb to 2000 feet. From this altitude it is not uncommon to see Mt Buffalo and the snow fields in one direction, and the Hay plains, the largest expanse of flat land in the world, in the other direction. After departing the Aerodrome and tracking out over Lake Mulwala, you may take over the controls of the aircraft, under the watchful eye of your pilot instructor. There is plenty of time to take in the views.
Flight 101
This introductory flight takes you on a large circuit from the Aerodrome to Lake Mulwala and around the town of Yarrawonga.

This introductory flight takes you from the Aerodrome on a large circuit around Lake Mulwala and over Pelican Island, then back around the towns of Yarrawonga and Mulwala.

This introductory flight take you from the Aerodrome eastwards to where the Ovens River enters the Murray River, around the town of Bundalong, then return via Pelican Island and around the towns of Mulwala and Yarrawonga.
