    When I first saw a Trike it didn’t impress me much. It was no more than a hang glider wing with lightweight frame and chainsaw engine strapped to the back. I was not impressed, but this was the era of the ultralight, and that was the way it was. By the way, I never flew in one of those bad boys. At the time I was flying much larger aircraft for the military.

    One important thing to remember is the history we have today. Three axis aircraft have over one hundred years of development, whereas Trikes (or “weight shift aircraft”) have only a little over 35 years of development.
