    Solo Man Tony

    Monday, April 29th, 2013

    Tony goes Solo.

C00237Today Tony from Cobar went Solo in the XT-912 Arrow. It would have been a perfect day, except for the rain and the X-wind. However Tony completed two circuits with CFI Peter in the back, and then it was time to go it alone. Yes, there was the usual comment about the aircraft handling differently without the CFI in the back. Once on the ground it was back to training, and entering and departing the circuit was next on the agenda. After 1.2 hours of circuit arrivals and departures it was time for a Nav. Tony planned a nav from YYWG to YWGT, and then on to YCOR before coming back to YYWG. Oh yes, we got rained on again, near Corowa. Well done Tony.

    ANZAC Day Formation

    Thursday, April 25th, 2013

    Formation Flight.

C00224The weather started out quite good but just before takeoff for the ANZAC day formation a weather front moved in. The three pilots completed the briefing and headed for the runway. The three aircraft joined up over the lake for a single fly past down the main street of Yarrawonga. The turbulence stopped just as the three aircraft flew over the ANZAC memorial and the parade march by.

    Tocumwal Aero Club Breakfast

    Thursday, April 25th, 2013

    Sunday the 21st of April…

C00173Its that time again for flying to an aerodrome for breakfast. This time it was YTOC (Tocumwal) for breakfast. Four aircraft from YFT departed just after 0800 hour with 7 people on board. Others chose to drive. It was a pleasant flight from Yarrawonga the Tocumwal until we descended into the circuit. The wind was much stronger and roughter but we had a great flight and a good landing. There were a number of people there with a car club as well. We all had a very harty breakfast and I think we were all just under MTOW on departure. Thanks again to all who attended and thanks to the members of the Tocumwal Aero Club for inviting us.

    Thursday, April 18th, 2013

    C00136Robert Ready for Solo…

Robert from Grenfell, arrived for another four days of flying last week. The weather was almost kind to Rob, with only one day with 30kt winds. This didn’t stop Rob, he was up flying cross wind circuits. Rob also managed to get a NAV in to Wangaratta. Unfortunately the weather was to rough for Rob no his last day and he didn’t get to go solo this time. Well done anyway.

    Flight into the Sunset

    Friday, April 12th, 2013

    00124Faye and the Smokey Sunset…

Faye was up flying around when CFI Peter joined in for some formation flying. By the way this was some of the closest formation work that CFI Peter had done with Faye. As they turned at Bundalong the smokey sunset revealed it self. What a sunset.
