YFT's new XT-912 SST Arrives

YFT’s latest XT-912 SST arrives at its new home from the Airborne factory.

Peter and Ingo left for Newcastle by train on Wednesday night. It turned into an epic journey when a goods train broke down outside  Wagga Wagga, causing their train to be two hours late. After eventually arriving at the Airborne facility, they fitted the new instrument panel, and then it was off to Wallsend airfield to commence the shakedown flight back to Yarrawonga.

After departing at 4pm the first leg took them up the Hunter Valley and on to Mudgee for the night. The next day’s flight was to Parkes, then Temora and then the last 121nm to Hangar 19, where Anne was waiting with a cuppa, eager to hear about the adventure.

Student pilots from Mangalore based MFA visited YFT today.

The boys quite often visit YFT on their navigation flights around the country. We always make the pilots welcome. The instructors and student pilots stop off at YFT for a well earned coffee break. Today the group arrived to pickup their pilot’s jumpers. This will make them look very smart on their flights around the state as the weather cools down.

Branko goes Solo

Branko goes Solo in his Airborne Classic X 582 aircraft.

Branko was delighted when he took to the air for a Solo flight yesterday. Branko ownes his own hangar at Yarrawonga Aerodrome, and now he ownes his own Microlight as well. Not long now before his has his licence and we will see him flying around Yarrawonga and the local area. Well done Branko.
